About Panda Express
Panda Express, located at 856 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702, is a prominent fast-food chain specializing in Chinese cuisine. As part of the Panda Restaurant Group, it was founded by Andrew Cherng and his wife Peggy Cherng, who transformed the traditional upscale dining experience of their earlier venture, Panda Inn, into a fast-food format. This strategic move was initiated in 1983 when the first Panda Express opened at the Glendale Galleria in Glendale, California, marking a significant shift towards casual, quick-service dining while maintaining the essence of Chinese flavors[1][3][5].
Panda Express is renowned for its diverse menu, which caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences. The chain offers a variety of dishes that blend traditional Chinese flavors with modern twists, making it appealing to both local and international palates. Some of the most popular items include their signature Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and Beijing Beef, all of which are crafted to provide a flavorful and satisfying dining experience. Additionally, Panda Express has incorporated health-conscious options into its menu, ensuring that customers seeking lighter meals can also enjoy their offerings[2][4].
As a multifaceted dining establishment, Panda Express operates as a Chinese restaurant, Asian restaurant, Caterer, Chinese noodle restaurant, Chinese takeaway, Delivery Chinese restaurant, Fast food restaurant, Takeout Restaurant, and Wok restaurant. This versatility allows it to cater to different customer needs, whether it’s a quick meal on the go, a family dinner, or a catering service for events. The restaurant’s ability to adapt to various dining preferences has contributed significantly to its widespread popularity and success across the United States[5].
The Panda Express in Azusa, California, is no exception to this trend. With its convenient location and diverse menu offerings, it serves as a popular dining destination for locals and visitors alike. Customers can easily contact the restaurant at +1 626-815-2723 to place orders or inquire about services. The restaurant’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has made it a staple in the community, providing a welcoming environment for those seeking delicious and convenient meals.
Panda Express’s success story is deeply intertwined with its founders’ vision and perseverance. Andrew Cherng’s initial struggles with Panda Inn led him to innovate and adapt, eventually resulting in the creation of Panda Express. The support of his wife Peggy and the strategic partnership with real estate professionals facilitated the launch of the first Panda Express location. Since then, the chain has expanded rapidly, becoming one of the most recognizable fast-food brands in the United States[5].
The evolution of Panda Express reflects broader trends in the fast-food industry, where chains are increasingly focusing on providing healthier options and more diverse menus to cater to changing consumer preferences. By incorporating health-conscious dishes alongside their signature items, Panda Express has managed to appeal to a wide audience, from those seeking traditional Chinese flavors to those looking for lighter meal options.
In conclusion, Panda Express at 856 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702, embodies the spirit of innovation and customer satisfaction that defines the Panda Restaurant Group. With its rich history, diverse menu offerings, and commitment to quality, it continues to be a leading choice for those seeking fast, flavorful, and convenient Chinese cuisine. Whether you’re a local resident or just visiting, Panda Express in Azusa offers a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable.

It is simply outrageous. Yesterday evening, I ordered orange chicken for takeout via the DoorDash app. I ate it at home, and this morning I woke up with stomach pain and diarrhea. Please check the quality of your food!!!!!

This Panda Express consistently provides an amazing experience every time we visit. The food is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the customer service is outstanding. We especially want to recognize Alinna for going above and beyond. She came over to check on us, asked how our service and food were, and made sure we had everything we needed. She also told us about the new Barbecue Brisket promotion. Her energy was incredibly welcoming, positive, and professional. She was very knowledgeable, made us feel comfortable, and even made us laugh, which made our visit even more enjoyable. We also want to recognize Amy and Angie for their excellent customer service. Everyone on the team is friendly, attentive, and works hard to make customers feel appreciated. A special thank you to the chefs as well. They are always working hard behind the scenes to make sure there is plenty of fresh food available and that items don’t run out. Their dedication and teamwork do not go unnoticed. You can truly see that everyone here works together professionally to create a great experience for every customer. This is one of the best Panda Express locations we’ve visited, and t

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch here this past Sunday weekend. We both ordered two plates both with teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, and chow-mein and sat inside. While eating we saw that the staff member Carla, was cleaning, organizing, throwing out the trash, and was just so energetic and positive while she was working. She smiled at us, and it just made such a nice moment of hospitality for us and we were impressed by her diligence, hand work, and self-motivation. It’s very nice to see this because it means that they care about the presentation and sanitation of their customers.

After working through lunch and running around all day, I headed to Panda Express, hoping to get a quick and satisfying family meal for dinner. When I got home it was late and everyone was super hungry especially me. I was really upset when I tasted the food and found the orange chicken and white rice had hard pieces, the squash in the mushroom chicken was hard, and the teriyaki chicken had to much fat. My husband and kids complained about the same thing. I had to find something else for us to eat. This was not my idea of a relaxing Friday evening when you order takeout, so you don’t have to cook. :( This is the second time I get a bad batch of food at Panda Express. I called this time to complain and the manager offered to replace 2 items on the family meal. He should have offered to credit back my card for the entire amount of $38.59. It was 6:45 pm when I got home with the Panda, and I wasn't gonna go back out to get the food replaced. No more Panda Express for us. I don’t like giving a 1 star reviews and I don’t like paying for food that’s bad.
